The standard we hold ourselves to

Not a story about mountains. A description of what we actually do before a jar is allowed to ship, and what we refuse to say about it afterwards.

Why we publish the whole report

A 2025 study in BMC Chemistry tested six commercial shilajit products and found thallium in five of them. That is the market this product sits in. Every jar on every shelf says pure, natural and lab tested, and almost none of them will show you the paperwork.

So we do the only thing that settles it. Every batch goes to an accredited laboratory before it ships, and the report is published in full, unedited, with the method printed next to every result. You do not have to trust us; you can check.

It costs us more and it occasionally produces a number that is less flattering than the marketing would like. We publish it anyway, because a figure you cannot verify is not evidence, it is decoration.

Where it comes from

Shilajit seeps from rock seams high in the Himalayas over centuries, as plant matter compresses between the layers. It is scraped from the rock, purified and filtered, and sold as a soft black resin. Nothing is manufactured and nothing is added. Because it comes out of rock, and rock carries heavy metals, purification is the entire question.

What we will not tell you

That shilajit cures anything. That it will change your life in a week. That ours is magic. It is a traditional resin with some genuinely interesting early research behind it, sold at a fair price with its paperwork attached. If you want overnight results, somebody else will happily sell them to you.

Tested every batch

Not once a year, and not once at launch. Every batch, before it ships, at a laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 and a member of ILAC.

Method beside every number

Heavy metals by AOAC 999.10/11. Fulvic acid by titration. Moisture by AOAC 925.10. Ash by AOAC 923.03. Solubility gravimetric. A number without its method is not information.

Certificates stay up

Reports remain published after a batch sells through, so you can always go back to the report for the batch you bought.

Claims kept inside the rules

Shilajit is a complementary product, not a medicine. We describe what the certificate measures and what tradition says, and we leave the rest alone.

The evidence, honestly

What the research actually shows and what it does not

Most positive trials used a standardised extract rather than raw resin, sample sizes were small, and some were funded by manufacturers. We think you should know that before you read a single result.

01

Small studies

The trials that exist typically ran eight to twelve weeks with a few dozen participants. That is early research, not settled science, and we describe it that way.

02

Extract, not resin

Several of the better-known trials used a standardised extract. Raw resin is a different material, so results do not transfer cleanly from one to the other.

03

Our position

We sell a traditional resin whose composition we publish. We do not extrapolate study findings onto our jar, and we would be sceptical of anyone who does.
